New furniture at West Elm!
I am currently SWOONING over the new arrivals at West Elm. They are finally really picking up on the mid-century trend. Although mid century has definitely had a huge revival this past decade, I don’t think I could ever tire of it. While picking out a piece from West Elm may not be quite as gratifying as scouring thrift stores for the odd Paul McCobb piece and refinishing it yourself, it at...

Fox prints, everywhere.
Is it just me, or have fox prints become the biggest trend lately? I first started seeing them all over the place in London. The adorable Souvenir Gallery in the Highgate neighborhood of London seemed to have a fox on every type of product you can think of. One of my dear friends bears the last name Fox, so I am always on the lookout for fun namesake gifts. Here are a few adorable iterations I’ve...

New pillows!
I was hesitant to get those black and white pillows from Ikea that seem to have snuck their way into every design bloggers home—turns out they’re perfect.

It's not finished, but it's progress.
Just moved some furniture around due to the new desk we bought for the big black desktop computer (cringe). Haven’t styled the surfaces yet, but I am diggin’ the new setup.

Piano Table by George Bohle
This piano table would be the perfect solution for my tiny apartment. I miss my upright piano dearly, but there is no way I could get it up these narrow stairs. I love that this piano doesn’t sacrifice style—I just wish it were more affordable!

White Bedding
Lately I’ve become a sucker for white bedding. Up until recently I’ve always opted for color and pattern in my bedding choices, but there is something so classic, luxurious and relaxing about white bedding.
I may have first fallen in love when I saw this bedroom in Rue Magazine—it belongs to the blogger Joanna Swanson of Simple Blueprint.
It’s just so mellow, textured and...

Goodwill Chic
I love passing time on shopgoodwill.com. While the layout of the website leaves much to be desired, it’s a great place for fabulous cheap finds for the home. Despite the outdated HTML layout, it is a lot more convenient than rummaging through dusty shelves at your local Goodwill. While items like Hudson’s Bay point blankets are much coveted and often have intense bidding wars, there...

Sleek Seating from Designer's Guild
Although I am probably misguided in this, I get the sense that all the good furniture is in the UK. Why can’t it be on my side of the Atlantic?!
My newest lust object is the Hayward Sofa from Designer’s Guild
Their Cosmopolitan Chair is pretty awesome too
What can I say, I am a sucker for those legs.
maxless asked: I never though to look on overstock for knock off mid century modern furniture. I can't afford the real ones either!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yellow!
Yellow furniture really brightens up a room. I was inspired by some recent finds to make a post compiling a few of my favorite yellow pieces.
Parlour Chair from CB2. $999.
Ikea Trollsta yellow credenza. The yellow color sadly seems to be discontinued or not available in the US. $349.
Horchow Paisley Settee. $1,499.
Box from Seletti’s Pantone series. $31.

Unusually Colorful Floors
While realistically all white furniture seems like a pretty big headache, I love the idea of colorful parquet floors and walls. Click the source link to freshome for more images!
